Scope of Practice
Dr. Kruger welcomes consultations for complex and non-routine gynecologic conditions, with a distinct focus on urogynecology, pelvic floor disorders, and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
When to Refer
Below are primary clinical indications accepted for consultation:
Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Symptomatic prolapse affecting quality of life
- Patients who have failed or declined conservative management (e.g., pelvic floor physiotherapy, pessary trials)
- Patients considering surgical correction
Urinary Incontinence
- Stress urinary incontinence having failed first-line treatment
- Overactive bladder refractory to standard medical management
- Diagnostic uncertainty or mixed incontinence symptoms requiring further urodynamic investigation
Endometriosis & Pelvic Pain
- Suspected or confirmed deep infiltrating endometriosis
- Patients who have failed first-line medical management
- Cases involving complex anatomy or associated fertility concerns
Complex Gynecologic Surgery
- Large uterine fibroids requiring surgical management
- Abnormal uterine bleeding unresponsive to medical therapy
- Patients with prior surgical complications or severe adhesive disease requiring a specialist MIS approach
How to Refer
To facilitate a streamlined triage process and minimize wait times for your patients, please ensure the referral includes:
- Complete patient demographics (including updated contact numbers)
- A clear reason for referral and primary clinical concern
- Relevant imaging (pelvic ultrasounds, MRI reports)
- Recent laboratory investigations
- Current medication list
- A summary of prior treatments or conservative measures already attempted
What to Expect
All referrals are triaged based on clinical urgency and the completeness of the provided information. Upon receiving the referral, our office will contact the patient directly to schedule the consultation.
Dr. Kruger strongly believes in a collaborative care approach. Following the consultation and any subsequent surgical interventions, a comprehensive consultation letter detailing the assessment, findings, and outlined treatment plan will be sent back to you promptly.
